Please join us in welcoming Kelsey Alkire to the City Orchard Team!
Native Houstonian, Kelsey Alkire, joined the City Orchard team in 2020. A passion for cooking came at a young age from helping and watching her mother preparing food for friends and family. Foregoing any formal training, Kelsey raised through the kitchen ranks on her dedication, hard work, and love for the craft. She has been in the industry for over a decade from flipping buffalo burgers to fire-grilling wild game hot dogs, eventually working her way to sous-chef, and most recently, Chef at Piggy’s Kitchen in River Oaks. There she gained notoriety as an early adapter of craft beer partnering with breweries to host Houston’s first beer dinners. Kelsey thrives on the challenge
of crafting the perfect bite to accompany any pairing – we are all looking forward to for her early cider dinner.
Kelsey is the first integral part of our reopening process. We’ll share more info as we have it, but fingers crossed, you will be able to join us back in the Taproom soon!
